Agatha K. Sangma (born July 24, 1980) is a Member of Parliament of India (MP), and part of the 15th Lok Sabha. She represents the Tura constituency of Meghalaya state, and won the Indian parliamentary elections as a candidate of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). Presently she is youngest Minister of State in the current Cabinet.[2]

Agatha Sangma was born in New Delhi to P. A. Sangma, a prominent Indian leader and politician, and former speaker of the Lok Sabha, and Smt. Soradini K. Sangma. She was brought up in West Garo Hills, Meghalaya.[1][2] Her brother Conrad Sangma is the Leader of the Opposition in Meghalaya.[3]
She received her LLB degree from Pune University and later joined the bar in Delhi High Court. She did her Masters in Environmental Management from Nottingham University, UK.[4]
Agatha Sangma was first elected to the 14th Lok Sabha in a bye-election in May 2008, after her father P.A. Sangma resigned from the seat to join state politics. Later she was reelected to 15th Lok Sabha where she is the youngest Indian MP.[5] At age 29, she is the youngest minister in the council of ministers of 15th Lok Sabha.[6]
She is currently the minister of state for rural development.[7] Agatha Sangma is a lawyer, an environmentalist, an amateur photographer.
